QUOTE FOR THE DAY: "Hats off to the likes of Dr. Dre and Jim Carey who each contributed a million dollars to the cause and a thump on the head to little Ms. J. Lo whose reported $25,000 drop in bucket donation made us pale, when her Valentino wedding gown reportedly cost twice as much." Undercover reporter MISS FASHION ICON on the post-September 11 support for New York in the latest edition of fashionicon.com.

fashionicon.com
At the entrance to the site, you're greeted by an animated version of Fashion Icon, a fashion reporter and insider with a fantastic haircut and superior personal style. About once a month, F.I. delivers her own take on the current trends in fashion--downtown chic rather than couture. Some recent advice: "There are two roads left for edge seekers to take. By sliding the perfectly blended mismatch scale far beyond its existing edge - or by diving head first into the starkest non-fashion mass market simplicity (GAP, beige on beige, flight suits). Should you choose the simpler path, the road less traveled in fashion circles, veer towards comfort and less stress that go with the workable lifestyle that you actually have - and not the one that ad campaigns want you to emulate."
Overall design: Colorful and easily navigated. Editorial style: Original and endearing

E DIVAS 2000 : Who's who on the Wild, Wild Web

E Divas exploit the Net's potential to unleash
their creative energy.

How E Divas do it: five years ago Mila Radulovic, was frustrated, unable to find a way to combine her experience in modeling, fashion merchandising, video and film production and writing. "I was interested in all these different activities, but I couldn't connect all my dots. Suddenly with Fashion Icon, she says, I could shoot video, put it up, art direct, spin off products, write and more."

E Diva's can be anyone they want to be on-line.

How E Diva's do it: Mila carries the concept of a Net persona one sneaky step further: she appears on the Web
in the guise of a cartoon character. The plaid suited undercover reporter Fashion Icon, she says is "like me,
but easier to dress."
